North Andover 4th of July RR 1994 : Merrimack Valley Striders' 4th of July Race was another great day! It was called the "Unifirst Stars and Stripes Road Race". A runner from New York called a few days beforehand and wanted to enter, because of the prize money. He was looking for lodging, so we invited him to stay with us. The competition was steep, so he ended up only placing fifth. But we all had fun spending time with him. You'll recognize a few outstanding local runners on the "stage" in one of these shots.
